About us

MKD consulting is based on international standards for business-consulting (ISO 20700:2017, ‘Guidelines for Management Consultancy Services’ by CMC-Global), compliance, integrity and alignment of interests with investors, customers and partners. We love what we do and enjoy the reward of the labor and entrepreneurial adventures. The company was established in 2000.

Since 2010, the company has been successfully implementing of strategy to grow our business in international markets. We keep focus on the customers’ needs, on review, analyses and execution. Customers whose plans, needs and ‘pains’  best match the unique value that MKD offers, typically getting the measurable value such as return on investment, process efficiency (before & after), risk reduction, growth, service improvement, footfall(stages) upon the benefits, cost and value, that MKD can deliver to our customers, investors and partners.

Our strategy is executed on a special approach of using a very selective experience which is a techno and management – savvy; the capital market process is uncovering a huge potential of Ukraine; in this regard it is vital to accelerate a growth of companies through an export-import development. To ensure quality standards, we execute agreements prominently with strong companies from the US and EU in a close cooperation with the best domestic experts. Key personnel of MKD consulting have distinguished knowledge and experience in industries; they have undertaken repeated trainings abroad, in various international programs. 

Our team

Michael Prazian

Michael Prazian, PhD, as a managing partner and founder of MKD consulting, he keeps focus on execution of strategy to support customers in their business growth by assisting them to get an access to capital. After 2010, Michael has initiated a strategic U-turn to the West in order to deliver a MKD’s consulting service across the borders. This target has been accomplished on the basis of accelerating his set of knowledge, a proven and first-class networking, and very special expertise in a range of industries and, in parallel, how to mitigate risks and inhibitors to a business-development. Dr.Prazian obtained his PhD in Technical Sciences (1991) and Diploma in Engineering Economics (1984); he is improving skills without hesitation. He was a pioneer of the Ukrainian stock market, asset management, investment banking and a real estate brokerage from the days of Independence (1992). Today, dealing with prominent institutions such as the EBRD, EDI of the World Bank, USAID, JICA, the Yale, British Council and dynamic international companies, gives Michael a widely respected knowledge on how to be a team leader on a way of executing projects and innovations. Yuriy Zerov

Yuriy Zerov, PhD in physics and mathematics, performed in his capacity of investment banker in Ukraine for already twenty three years.   In his previous position with the EBRD in Ukraine, Dr. Zerov conducted financial and economic due diligence, valuation of business, structured, signed and monitored investment transactions in FMCG sector, glass manufacturing, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, paper and plastic packaging, industrial machine building, chemical production (paints, fertilizers), telecom, shipping and oil transportation, natural resources, electricity generation, construction materials, as well as participated in launching equity funds and banking instruments for pre-export trade financing and credit lines to Ukrainian banks.  Investment transactions included project financing, corporate loans and equity investments to private and state owned companies, including syndicated loans. He started cooperation with the MKD’s team since 2005 when he left EBRD. As an independent consultant, his responsibility has been financial advisory on M&A and investment projects in Ukraine.  Currently, Dr. Zerov specializes in advisory on bank debt and equity rising, from local banks and IFIs, for development of industrial projects, food processing, power generation (incl. renewable sources).  

Ivan Koriakin

Ivan Koriakin, Ph.D., has 25 years of practical experience in business, including 17 years of experience inbanking. From 1995 to 1999 he was the head of the program for supporting small and medium-sized businesses in the banks of Aval and Ukreximbank. From 1999 to 2001 he worked as an expert on lending issues of the international TACIS project on the restructuring of Ukrsotsbank. Then for 5 years he worked with large corporate clients in Citibank (Ukraine).
In 2006-2008 he was the Chairman of the Board of SEB Bank, a subsidiary of the international group SEB. In 2009-2011 he worked as Chairman of the Board of PJSC Ukrainian Bank for Reconstruction and Development and as Deputy Chairman of the Board of PJSC Bank of Cyprus, responsible for the development of corporate business. In 2013-2017, he held the post of deputy CFO for the agro-industrial holding Astarta-Kyiv, where he worked with the EBRD, EIB, IFC and other international organizations.
As an independent financial consultant, he participated in the development and implementation of many ideas and projects. He was an expert for the following international organizations:
• Ramboll Management Consulting (www.ramboll.com) – in the project to support the integration of energy markets and sustainable energy in the Newly Independent Countries (SEMISE)
• Frankfurt School of Finance and Management (www.frankfurt-school.de) – in the technical assistance project for the development of the strategy and products of the Green for Growth Fund (GGF)
• Berlin Economics (www.berlin-economics.com) – advising on projects to improve SMEs’ access to finance in Ukraine and Belarus

Liudmyla Prykhodko

Liudmyla Prykhodko, PhD, is a well-respect international consultant with a proven ability to identify, evaluate and improve an existing business model, a company’s performance and new strategic opportunities. Dr. Prykhodko is dealing with MKD since the beginning. She is a team provider of significant experience in business analysis, Quality Assurance process and PM. Prior to Seneca College, Toronto, ON, Canada, where Lyudmila earned her Post-Graduate Certificate (2015) in Brand Management; she got her PhD (2006) in Business Management at Kyiv National Economic University, Ukraine. Liudmyla is the author, co-author of more than 20 articles and text-books.
